Gentle Moderate Yoga

Thursday evening class for the person getting home late. Class is designed to relieve stress through creative sequencing. Helps with motor coordination, balance, and muscle tension. When you work all day the brain functions in a deeply concentrated state known as the beta state. The motor cortex – the part of the brain that works with motor coordination (especially if you sit all day or perform repetitive movements) gets taxed. Reflexes are weaker as the muscles needed to perform optimally are under or over utilized. Yoga type movements like these will stimulate body systems and activate the motor cortex in your brain to keep the messages from the brain to the body and from the body to the brain more vibrant and responsive. Muscles wake up. You become more alert. You feel more balance, refreshed.
A good yoga class can be highly beneficial. Each class is different. We do not repeat the same movements over and over. It’s fun. It’s invigorating.
Creative movements and breath management tend to have a powerful affect on pain and stress regulation and management. Also assists with sleep, digestion, flexibility, reflex impulses, and circulation.
All sorts of creative fun movements.
